A life lived more richly and authentically is possible no matter your past or present experiences. Trauma, depression, stress, andanxiety do not have to stop you from achieving a life filled with success, joy, and happiness.

As a Black, gay clinician with intersectional identities, I have firsthand knowledge of the roles race, culture and gender play in who has access to therapy and how it’s provided. My commitment is to create a safe space and normalize therapy for everyone who has encountered marginalization due to identity. I offer an inclusive and affirming environment for change work.

I work with individual adults who may be:

  • Having difficulty with change (relationships, family)
  • Experiencing anxiety or depression
  • Living with trauma
  • Experiencing loss

My aim is to facilitate growth and identify any hindrances holding you back. Working together, I can offer new coping strategies, feedback, and a listening ear. The focus of our therapeutic relationship is you and the goals you set. My therapeutic approach is explorational and goal-oriented. This method centers on collaboration, change creation, and goal setting.

Some of the approaches that I use in my practice are:

  • Socratic Dialogue/Critical thinking
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Psychodynamic
  • Narrative Therapy
