Radical, Compassionate Therapy for the Neurodivergent Umbrella

in Portland—and online throughout Oregon

We’re here to affirm:

You are not broken.

…You’re navigating a world that isn’t designed for you. We provide mental health support for neurodivergent adults, relationship systems, children and teens.

At Pulse Wellness Cooperative, many of our therapists are neurodivergent ourselves. We celebrate all forms of diversity, including neurodiversity—the understanding that neurodivergent people spend so much time trying to fit into neurotypical expectations that we miss out on opportunities to appreciate and expand our unique strengths and talents.

We understand masking fatigue, overwhelm, misunderstanding, and uncertainty firsthand.

We specialize in working with people with:

  • Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism (SD/AuDHD)
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Rejection sensitivity, demand avoidance, emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and interpersonal challenges
  • Complex PTSD (CPTSD)
We recognize that many of these conditions can share overlapping traits and we understand holding the trauma of being misunderstood in a neurotypical world.

What sets us apart?

We provide:

  • Diagnostic support: to help you navigate the diagnostic process and what this means for you within the health system.
  • Identity-affirming care: work with neurodivergent-identified therapists who get it.
  • Support for most ages: expert mental health support for neurodivergent adults, teens and children 10+.
  • Practical skills and strength-based strategies: we identify frameworks to help you build sensory regulation tools and executive functioning support into your daily life.
  • Relationship counseling: we help individuals and couples/multiples navigate the complexities of mixed neurotype relationships.
  • Advocacy & empowerment: get practical support navigating workplace and school accommodations; develop coping and communication skills for broader self-advocacy.

On the outside, others may assume you’ve got it all together. Below the surface, you are exhausted, overwhelmed, lonely, and depleted. Together we can challenge narratives of shame, inadequacy, and people-pleasing so you can live the big, beautiful life you have worked so hard for.

Are you a chronic fast-goer, over-doer, over-thinker? I’ve spent my career in fast-going jobs and had to learn to slow down so I could have the family, friendships, dog, and hobbies I wanted. I want to help you do the same (though the dog part is optional).

I work with children, teens and young adults.

Would therapeutic support help your child grow and flourish? Are you a young adult or teen coping with overwhelming life changes? Together we can build a safe space to explore these thoughts and feelings.

Do you sometimes worry that you’re too much? Does reactivity create challenges in your relationships? In our work together, we can help you understand your reactions and feel more connected to others rather than at odds.

Licensed Acupuncturist

Our work together draws on trauma-informed acupuncture, somatic parts work (IFS), and NeuroAffective Touch® — a relational touch modality that works directly with the nervous system to support the kind of safety that makes deeper healing possible. Rather than trying to fix or override what your system is doing, we follow it.
